Some general points to keep in mind
- Ensure the piece is well lit, preferably with natural light, before you take the photo 
- Hold measuring tape or place a ruler on damaged areas to provide perspective on its size 
- Take photos front and back if damage has passed through an object 
- Provide photos of manufacturer marks, product numbers, branding, etc if available or visible 
- If in doubt, more is better than less when it comes to photos! 
When sending photos, please include:
An overall photo of the entire piece
A photo of the front, back and sides
A photo of the entire damaged area
